In 1999, Jim Thorson and Gil Switala established Thorson & Switala after eight years of practice at a high volume Dayton personal injury firm.   Rather than focus on class actions and drug litigation they wanted the firm to limit the practice to protecting the rights of those seriously injured and families affected by wrongful death.  From the start Jim and Gil wanted to offer aggressive representation but also have compassion for their clients.  Few attorneys in the greater Miami Valley have handled more personal injury claims than Gil and Jim.  Respected by defense attorneys and insurance claims adjusters they bring their nearly forty years of combined experience to your case.

Jeff Snead joined the firm in 2002 as a named partner and a tested litigator.  Jeff provides a well rounded perspective to the practice.  Before providing a voice for victims of medical malpractice, Jeff defended doctors and hospitals in medical malpractice lawsuits for eight years and worked as a staff attorney for judges in the Ohio Court of Claims.  Jeff’s insight from behind the bench and as a former defense attorney enables him to anticipate and agilely argue for his clients.  Jeff’s relationship with top medical experts in their respective fields allows him to properly evaluate and prepare your medical malpractice case for litigation.

Joe Mondock began his career as the firm’s first law clerk, researching and writing on the developing practice of personal injury and insurance law.   After graduating from the University Of Dayton School Of Law in 2002, Joe joined the firm as an associate concentrating in automobile, tractor-trailer, wrongful death and premises liability cases.   Joe utilizes the latest courtroom technology to add a visual element to oral argument and witness examination.  In 2008, Joe Mondock became partner of the newly named Thorson, Switala, Mondock & Snead, LLP.
